Woodland, scrub, hedgerows, gardens and urban areas.

Most broadleaf trees and shrubs.
Lifestage data
Overwinters as a small larva in a frail cocoon on the
foodplant or in the leaf litter below. Larva June-August. Pupates in a
cocoon which is formed on the foodplant, or below in the litter. |
